What’s on in Melbourne this Summer

Whether you’re coming down to Melbourne over the summer or just wanting to explore the great city you live in, we have you covered with this addition of our weekly blog!

Summer in Australia spans from December – February and we see temperatures soar to 40 degrees (in some states and territories) and those with daylight saving enjoy much later nights out enjoying the sun. It took us quite a while to pinpoint our favourite summer activities in Melbourne but finally here are our top 4!

  1. Spending the day at the Australian Open
Starting at $19 a ticket this fantastic sporting event is a ‘must’ this summer. The ‘AO’ takes place between the 16th to 23rd of Jan and you can book online now!
  2. Go for a Surf
Whether you decide to head down to Torquay surf beach or go to URBNSURF Melbourne has great beaches and great waves. URBNSURF will promise you waves as they are manufactured, and our beaches promise you magnificent views and sand between your toes - if we were you, we would do both!
  3. Go to St Kilda beach
Catch the 96 tram down to St Kilda beach for the day. When the weather is hot, or cold for that matter, St Kilda beach is the perfect place to spend the day with your friends and family. Other than Luna Park – which everyone should go to at least once – there are also gorgeous bars and places for dinner such as the 'Espy' and Captain Baxter’s.
  4. Explore a Museum
From ancient history to art, Melbourne has a variety of museums for you to visit. Our favourite place to visit is the LUME in the Melbourne convention and exhibition centre and the classic (but always changing) Melbourne Museum

That’s all for our blog this week- we hope we inspired you to venture out into the great city of ours and make some memories.

P.s. Don't forget to come by and visit our great store while you're here ;)
